The Road Calls

I named this site “The Road Calls” because it has always called to me to me ever since my first road trip across Canada driven by wanderlust and the need to explore. Since then I always have destinations available for whatever time I have just in case the opportunity presents itself. I have a list of day trips, overnighters, two and three-day trips, trips that are a week or weeks long, and even month-long trips. My life is unique in that I don’t have a lot of commitments other than work but it hasn’t always been that way and I’ve still managed to cover a lot of ground. It’s all about having goals and dreams and the will to just pack the bike and head out when time and money permit. There’s so much to see on this continent some might say unless you’ve been around the world you’re not well-traveled but I disagree there are many that see our continent as a destination. We have some of the best roads and most interesting places in the world to explore in Canada and the United States. I enjoy traveling with others but I don’t wait for people I like traveling solo as well you learn a lot about yourself, you can follow your own interests and it makes for a different trip! Typically you meet more like-minded people as well. To me it’s not about where you go or how you go it’s that you go! So I encourage you to get out there and start exploring.
